Jeep Wheels, Tires & Beadlocks for Nashville & Middle Tennessee

Shopping for 33s or 43s? How about 17s or 26s? Beadlocks? We do them. Wheels and tires change how a Jeep looks more than anything else, and they change how it drives, too. Wreckless 4x4 installs wheel and tire packages for Jeep owners in Nashville and Middle Tennessee, and makes sure the rest of the Jeep is set up to carry them.

The Range We Install

We fit tires from 33 inches up to 43 inches, on wheels from 17 inches up to 26 inches. That covers everything from a mild all-terrain upgrade on a daily driver to a dedicated trail build on big rubber. We also install beadlock wheels, which mechanically clamp the tire bead to the wheel so you can air down for rocks and mud without the tire coming off the bead.

Size Is a System Decision

Choosing a tire size is really choosing a whole set of changes. Before you buy, it helps to think about:

  • Lift height and clearance. Bigger tires need room to move through full suspension travel and full steering lock. Your suspension and fender setup determine what fits without rubbing. See our lift kit page.

  • Gearing. Taller tires effectively raise your axle ratio, so the engine works harder and the transmission hunts for gears. Moving to 35s, 37s or larger often calls for a regear.

  • Axles and steering. Heavier wheel and tire combinations put more load on axles, ball joints and steering parts. Big builds may call for trusses or an axle swap.

  • Brakes. More rotating mass takes more stopping. Ask us about the setup for your build.

  • Spare tire. A bigger spare may need a different carrier or mount.

  • Speedometer. A different tire diameter makes the speedometer read incorrectly until it's recalibrated.

We'll help you choose a size that fits your Jeep today and where you want it to go, so you aren't buying tires twice.

Wheel Width, Offset and Backspacing

Wheel width, offset and backspacing decide where the tire sits relative to the suspension, fenders and steering. They affect clearance, steering feel, the load on wheel bearings and how far the tires stick out. We'll help you pick a combination that clears your setup and suits how you drive.

Beadlocks and Airing Down

Lowering tire pressure on the trail lengthens the tire's contact patch, so it conforms to rocks and grips better in mud and sand. The trade-off is that at low pressure a standard wheel relies on air pressure alone to keep the tire bead seated, and a hard side load can unseat it. A true beadlock wheel clamps the outer bead with a ring bolted to the wheel, so you can run lower pressures with much less risk of losing the bead. Beadlocks need periodic checking of their ring bolts, so ask us about care when you buy. Always air back up before driving on the road.

Load Rating and Weight

Big off-road tires vary widely in weight and load rating. A heavier tire adds unsprung and rotating weight, which affects ride, braking and acceleration, while load rating matters if you carry gear, tow or have a heavy Hemi-swapped build. We'll help you choose a tire whose load rating suits your Jeep and how you load it.

Street, Trail or Both

Tread pattern matters as much as size. An aggressive mud-terrain tread grips in mud and rocks but is louder on the highway and wears differently. An all-terrain tread is quieter and more civil for daily driving on Nashville roads. Tell us where you'll drive and we'll go over the trade-offs.

Balance and Alignment After Installation

Big tires are heavy, and an unbalanced tire can cause vibration and add to front-end wear. We do alignment and suspension setup in our own shop.

Frequently Asked Questions

What tire sizes do you install on Jeeps?

We install tires from 33 inches up to 43 inches, on wheels from 17 to 26 inches.

Do you install beadlock wheels?

Yes, we install beadlocks.

Do I need a lift for 35-inch tires?

It depends on your Jeep, the wheel offset and how much rubbing you'll accept. Most Jeeps need some lift for 35s to clear through full suspension travel and steering lock. We'll check what your Jeep needs.

Will bigger tires make my Jeep slower?

Taller tires effectively raise your gearing, which usually makes acceleration and hill climbing feel slower. A regear can restore performance. We'll tell you whether your setup needs one.

Do you sell wheels and tires as a package?

Yes. We offer wheel and tire packages and installation, and help match them to your lift and gearing.

Where is Wreckless 4x4, and when can I visit?
